After a quick informal session at city hall, we headed over to another San Francisco architectural landmark, the Palace of Fine Arts, and then concluded our day basking in the warm sunlight of the SF coast. I typically shoot all my engagement sessions in Southern California, around Santa Barbara and Los Angeles, so it was a welcome change to add a few iconic San Francisco locations to my engagement photo portfolio. As the afternoon moves along, the colors tend to change and go to more golden colors especially on the water. The gorgeously landscaped lawns that spread down to the path that surround the lagoon are jewel-green and add a pop of color against the hills of San Francisco rising in the distance. It's a gorgeous old Beaux Arts building that was originally built for the Panama-Pacific Exposition (similar to the World Fair) in 1915 and has remained a San Francisco landmark ever since. The white and red roof of the lighthouse along with the naturally rugged and winding trails leading up to it is loved by our engagement photographers in San Francisco.
